Georgia High School Softball - Madison County bounces Lumpkin County

The Madison County Red Raiders routed the visiting Lumpkin County Indians softball squad by a count of 11-3 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Red Raiders (7-9) will now prepare for their battle against Chestatee (Gainesville, GA). The War Eagles go into the 4A Region 8 battle with a 6-11 record. In their last battle, Chestatee topped Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, GA), 15-0, in a non-league battle.
The Indians now sport a 5-10 record. They play next when they travel to Gilmer for a 3A Region 7 battle on Thursday, September 15. Lumpkin County will meet a Bobcats squad coming off a 9-0 league loss to White County (Cleveland, GA). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-10.
