Georgia High School Softball - Oglethorpe County gets by Thomson

The Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA) softball nipped the visiting Thomson Bulldogs (Thomson, GA), 3-2 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Patriots (12-4) will now prepare for their bout against Jasper County (Monticello, GA). The Hurricanes go into the 1A D-I Region 5 bout with a 3-7 record. In their last bout, Jasper County was edged by Social Circle (Social Circle, GA), 11-2, in a league bout.

The Bulldogs now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Josey for a 2A Region 4 bout on Tuesday, September 13. Thomson will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Westside (Augusta, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 3-2.
