James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) supporters left the game in high spirits Monday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA), 3-1 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Knights clash with the Covington Cougars (Covington, VA) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, September 14. James River will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Cougars enter the test with a 10-2 record after their 3-1 league win over Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA).

The Bengals (3-3) will now prepare for their test against George Washington (Danville, VA). The Eagles enter the Piedmont test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, George Washington was knocked off by Patrick County (Stuart, VA), 3-0, in a league test.
