The Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC) volleyball tipped the host Bertie Falcons (Windsor, NC), 2-1 in Monday's non-league outing.

With the win, Hertford County upgrades its record to 5-2 on the year. The Bears travel to First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC) to face the Nighthawks in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A outing on Tuesday, September 13. The Nighthawks go into the outing with a record of 4-3. First Flight won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech (Elizabeth City, NC)

The Falcons now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to South Creek for a Four Rivers 1A outing on Tuesday, September 13.
