The Whitwell Tigers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Grundy County Yellowjackets to 0 in the Tigers non-league victory on Monday.

The Tigers now possess a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Van Buren County for a game on Tuesday, September 13. Whitwell will meet a Eagles team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Bledsoe County (Pikeville, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 1-5.
