Next, the Pioneers confront the Umatilla Vikings (Umatilla, OR) in a 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 challenge, on Saturday, September 16. McLoughlin will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 4-1 league loss to Riverside (Boardman, OR).

The Prospectors now have a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host Stanfield/Echo for a 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 challenge on Friday, September 15. Grant Union will confront a Tigers team coming off a 8-0 league win over Irrigon (Irrigon, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 2-1.
