With the win, Monticello upgrades its record to 3-2 on the year. The Mustangs host Louisa County (Mineral, VA) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 14. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 2-2.

The Bulldogs now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Charlottesville for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 14. Goochland will play a Black Knights squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Black Knights record now stands at 1-2.
