Winthrop Ramblers (Winthrop, ME) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME), 4-3 in a league challenge.

Next, the Ramblers confront the Monmouth Academy Mustangs (Monmouth, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 14. Winthrop will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Lisbon (Lisbon Falls, ME).

The Black Bears now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mountain Valley for a Class C - South test on Thursday, September 14. Maranacook will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Hall-Dale (Farmingdale, ME). The Falcons record now stands at 1-3.
