In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Mountain Ridge Miners soccer squad scored a close 8-1 win over the Northern Huskies.
The Miners (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Allegany (Cumberland, MD). The Campers go into the Appalachian battle with a 5-0 record. In their last battle, Allegany nipped Southern (Oakland, MD), 6-0, in a league battle.
The Huskies (0-3) will now prepare for their battle against Bishop Walsh (Cumberland, MD). The Spartans go into the non-league battle with a 1-3 record.
