North Carolina High School Volleyball - West Stanly over Anson

September 12, 2023: Oakboro, NC 28129

The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) and the visiting Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), saw West Stanly's volleyball squad beat Anson by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, West Stanly upgrades its record to 9-4 on the year. The Colts host North Stanly (New London, NC) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 13. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 11-1. North Stanly won 3-0 in their recent league bout against South Stanly (Norwood, NC)

The Bearcats now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Forest Hills for a Rocky River 2A/3A bout on Thursday, September 14. Anson will play a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Central Academy (Monroe, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 2-14.
