The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) and the visiting Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA), saw Auburn's volleyball squad beat Fort Chiswell by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Auburn upgrades its record to 9-1 on the year. The Eagles travel to Grayson County (Independence, VA) to play the Blue Devils in a Mountain Empire bout on Thursday, September 14. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Grayson County won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Holston (Damascus, VA)

The Pioneers now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Galax for a Mountain Empire bout on Tuesday, September 19. Fort Chiswell will play a Maroon Tide squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Maroon Tide record now stands at 4-5.
