The Matadors now have a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mark Keppel for a Almont test on Thursday, September 14. San Gabriel will confront a Aztecs team coming off a 3-1 league win over Montebello (Montebello, CA). The Aztecs record now stands at 5-8.

The Lancers (9-9) will now prepare for their test against Schurr (Montebello, CA). The Spartans enter the Almont test with a 12-5 record. In their last test, Schurr held off Alhambra (Alhambra, CA), 3-0, in a league test.
