The George County Rebels topped the visiting Long Beach Bearcats volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Tuesday's league test.
The Rebels now have a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Picayune for a non-league test on Thursday, September 14. George County will confront a Maroon Tide team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Hancock (Kiln, MS). The Maroon Tide record now stands at 2-17.
The Bearcats (8-6) will now prepare for their test against West Harrison (Gulfport, MS). The Hurricanes enter the Class 5 Region 7 test with a 11-5 record. In their last test, West Harrison gained a win over Pascagoula (Pascagoula, MS), 3-0, in a non-league test.
