The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Queen City Bulldogs (Queen City, TX) and the visiting Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX), saw Queen City's volleyball squad beat Hooks by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Queen City upgrades its record to 16-7 on the year. The Bulldogs host Pewitt (Omaha, TX) to play the Brahmas in a 3A Region II District 14 bout on Friday, September 15. The Brahmas go into the bout with a record of 6-11. Pewitt won 3-0 in their recent league bout against De Kalb (De Kalb, TX)

The Hornets now own a 22-6 record. They play next when they travel to New Boston for a 3A Region II District 14 bout on Friday, September 15. Hooks will play a Lions squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Pleasant Grove (Texarkana, TX). The Lions record now stands at 15-9.
