James F. Byrnes Rebels (Duncan, SC) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Spartanburg Vikings (Spartanburg, SC), 3-2 in a league match.

Next up, the Rebels battle the Boiling Springs Bulldogs (Spartanburg, SC) in a AAAAA Region 2 match, on Thursday, September 14. James F. Byrnes will attempt to advance on its 2-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 12-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to Dorman (Roebuck, SC).

With the loss, Spartanburg drops to 4-4 on the campaign. The Vikings host Gaffney (Gaffney, SC) to battle the Indians in a AAAAA Region 2 match on Thursday, September 14. The Indians come into the match with a record of 9-3. Gaffney won 3-1 in their recent non-league match against Crest (Shelby, NC)
