The Newton Railroaders volleyball team (Newton, KS), was edged 2-1 in Tuesday's league challenge with the host Maize Eagles (Maize, KS)

The Eagles (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Haysville Campus (Wichita, KS). The Colts come into the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Haysville Campus was edged by Andover Central (Andover, KS), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Railroaders encounter the Haysville Campus Colts (Wichita, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. Newton will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Andover Central (Andover, KS).
