The Tigers (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Onalaska (Onalaska, TX). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region III District 23 challenge with a 9-13 record. In their last challenge, Onalaska nudged Crockett (Crockett, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Pirates encounter the Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans (Coldspring, TX) in a 3A Region III District 23 challenge, on Friday, September 15. Shepherd will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 3-1 league loss to Anderson-Shiro (Anderson, TX).
