In Thursday's league challenge, the host Matoaca Warriors volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Meadowbrook Monarchs.
The Warriors (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Petersburg (Petersburg, VA). The Crimson Wave enter the Central challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Petersburg beat Norcom (Portsmouth, VA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Monarchs meet the Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 16. Meadowbrook will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to Henrico (Richmond, VA).
