The Highlanders (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Herndon (Herndon, VA). The Hornets enter the Liberty challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Herndon beat South Lakes (Reston, VA), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 13. Meridian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 3-1 league loss to Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA).
