In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Petersburg Crimson Wave volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Norcom Greyhounds.

The Crimson Wave (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA). The Warriors enter the Central challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Matoaca beat Meadowbrook (Richmond, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Greyhounds meet the Maury Commodores (Norfolk, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 16. Norcom will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Commodores enter the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Lake Taylor (Norfolk, VA).
