California High School Flag Football - Del Norte can't hold off Steele Canyon

Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their flag football team nip the host Del Norte Nighthawks (San Diego, CA), 19-12 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Steele Canyon advances its record to 5-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to San Dieguito Academy (Encinitas, CA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league battle on Wednesday, September 25. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 3-2.

The Nighthawks now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Rancho Bernardo for a Palomar battle on Tuesday, September 17. Del Norte will play a Broncos team coming off a 20-6 non-league win over Valley Center (Valley Center, CA). The Broncos record now stands at 1-3.
