Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Gibbs Eagles (Corryton, TN) and the host Scott Highlanders (Huntsville, TN), saw Gibbs's soccer squad hold off Scott by a count of 2-1.

The Eagles (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Anderson County (Clinton, TN). The Mavericks enter the non-league battle with a 6-6 record. In their last battle, Anderson County tipped Union County (Maynardville, TN), 9-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Highlanders battle the Campbell County Cougars (Jacksboro, TN) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 17. Scott will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 5-4 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to William Blount (Maryville, TN).
