In Thursday's league outing, the host Greenup County Musketeers soccer squad scored a nice 8-0 victory over the West Carter Comets.

The Musketeers (4-9) will now prepare for their outing against Prestonsburg (Prestonsburg, KY). The Blackcats go into the non-league outing with a 6-2 record. In their last outing, Prestonsburg prevailed over Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY), 12-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Comets confront the Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, September 17. West Carter will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Lions go into the outing with a 7-2 record after their 10-1 non-league win over Pikeville (Pikeville, KY).
