The Midland Trail Patriots soccer squad scored 10 points and held the visiting Sherman Tide to 0 in the Patriots non-league victory on Thursday.

The Patriots now hold a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lewis County for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 14. Midland Trail will play a Minutemen squad coming off a 5-2 league win over North Marion (Farmington, WV). The Minutemen record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Sherman moves to 0-3 on the year. The Tide travel to Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV) to play the Panthers in a non-league test on Saturday, September 14. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 2-4. Lincoln County lost 8-0 in their recent league test against Cabell Midland (Ona, WV)
