In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Bandys Trojans volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the West Caldwell Warriors.

The Trojans (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC). The Bears enter the challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Bunker Hill was tipped by Newton-Conover (Newton, NC), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Warriors meet the East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 17. West Caldwell will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).
