The Poquoson Islanders topped the host Smithfield Packers volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Thursday's league game.

Next up, the Islanders confront the New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 17. Poquoson will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Trojans go into the game with a 6-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over York (Yorktown, VA).

The Packers (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Warhill (Williamsburg, VA). The Lions go into the game with a 0-6 record. In their last game, Warhill was dropped by Grafton (Yorktown, VA), 2-0, in a league game.
