Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) and the visiting Berry Cardinals (Charlotte, NC), saw Ashbrook's soccer squad knock off Berry by a count of 3-1.

The Greenwave (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC). The Mountaineers enter the Big South 3A battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Kings Mountain by West Iredell (Statesville, NC), 7-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Cardinals battle the Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC) in a So Meck 4A battle, on Tuesday, September 17. Berry will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Pumas enter the battle with a 6-2 record after their 10-1 non-league win over West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC).
