Fans at Thursday's league battle between the West Scranton Invaders (Scranton, PA) and the host Mid Valley Spartans (Throop, PA), saw West Scranton's soccer squad knock off Mid Valley by a score of 2-0.

The Invaders (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Gregory The Great Academy (Elmhurst Township, PA). The enter the Lackawanna - Division II battle with a 0-4 record.

Next up, the Spartans confront the Holy Cross Crusaders (Dunmore, PA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 21. Mid Valley will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record.
