Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) and the host West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC), observed Bandys's volleyball team top West Caldwell by a count of 3-0.

The Trojans (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC). The Mountaineers enter the non-league contest with a 9-1 record. In their last contest, Kings Mountain notched a victory over Forestview (Gastonia, NC), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Warriors meet the East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A contest, on Tuesday, September 17. West Caldwell will attempt to move on its 1-13 season record. The Cavaliers enter the contest with a 7-6 record after their 3-1 league win over West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).
