Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Jordan Red Jackets (Columbus, GA) and the host Carver Tigers (Columbus, GA), observed Jordan's volleyball team hold off Carver by a count of 2-1.

The Red Jackets (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sumter County (Americus, GA). The Panthers enter the 2A Area 1 contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Sumter County got by Howard (Macon, GA), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Tigers battle the Spencer Greenwave (Columbus, GA) in a 2A Area 1 contest, on Tuesday, September 17. Carver will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Greenwave enter the contest with a 4-16 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Smiths Station (Smiths, AL).
