The Cedar Grove Saints (Ellenwood, GA) volleyball were victorious over the host Mt. Zion Bulldogs (Jonesboro, GA), 2-0 in Thursday's league bout.
The Saints now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Stone Mountain for a 3A Area 5 bout on Tuesday, September 17. Cedar Grove will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 3-2 league win over Stephenson (Stone Mountain, GA). The Pirates record now stands at 5-6.
With the loss, Mt. Zion drops to 0-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, GA) to clash with the Spartans in a 3A Area 5 bout on Tuesday, September 24. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 13-9.
