North Carolina High School Volleyball - Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy bounced by Challenger

Challenger Firebirds (Hickory, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy Crusaders (Lincolnton, NC), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, Challenger improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Firebirds travel to Christian Family Academy (Hickory, NC) to encounter the Fire in a Western Piedmont Athletic test on Tuesday, September 17. The Fire go into the test with a record of 4-1. Christian Family Academy won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Nebo Crossing Academy (Nebo, NC)

The Crusaders now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pinnacle Classical Academy for a Western Piedmont Athletic test on Monday, September 16. Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Community Christian Academy (Bessemer City, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 4-2.
