The May River Sharks (Bluffton, SC) volleyball knocked off the host Colleton County Cougars (Walterboro, SC), 3-0 in Thursday's league bout.

The Sharks now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop England for a AAAA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, September 17. May River will clash with a Battling Bishops team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC). The Battling Bishops record now stands at 11-4.

With the loss, Colleton County drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Beaufort (Beaufort, SC) to clash with the Eagles in a AAAA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, September 17. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 5-6. Beaufort lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Bluffton (Bluffton, SC)
