In Thursday's league challenge, the host Maywood CES Wolfpack volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Sotomayor Wolves.

The Wolfpack (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Torres (Los Angeles, CA). The Toros come into the Southern challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Torres was nudged by Maywood Academy (Maywood, CA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Wolves meet the Marquez Gladiators (Huntington Park, CA) in a Southern challenge, on Monday, September 16. Sotomayor will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Gladiators come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Hamilton (Los Angeles, CA).
