Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) and the host Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA), observed Montour's volleyball team hold off Moon Area by a tally of 3-2.

The Spartans (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Neshannock (New Castle, PA). The Lancers enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.

Next, the Tigers meet the Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 14. Moon Area will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record.
