In Thursday's league challenge, the host Powdersville Patriots volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Palmetto Mustangs.

The Patriots (15-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Carolina Academy (Greenville, SC). The Trojans enter the AAA Region 1 challenge with a 0-7 record. In their last challenge, Carolina Academy was beaten by Christ Church Episcopal (Greenville, SC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights (Greenville, SC) in a AAA Region 1 challenge, on Tuesday, September 17. Palmetto will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 10-11 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Wando (Mt. Pleasant, SC).
