In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Wagener-Salley War Eagles volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans.

The War Eagles (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Blackville-Hilda (Blackville, SC). The Fighting Hawks come into the A Region 4 challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Blackville-Hilda was nudged by Barnwell (Barnwell, SC), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Trojans play the Calhoun County Saints (St. Matthews, SC) in a A Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, September 17. Ridge Spring-Monetta will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Williston-Elko (Williston, SC).
