Texas High School Football - Southwest winner over Nixon

The Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX) football knocked off the visiting Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX), 41-27 in Friday's league outing.

The Dragons now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Martin for a 5A-1 Region IV District 14 outing on Friday, September 19. Southwest will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 21-20 non-league win over Zapata (Zapata, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Nixon drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Southside (San Antonio, TX) to clash with the Cardinals in a 5A-1 Region IV District 14 outing on Friday, September 19. The Cardinals come into the outing with a record of 2-1. Southside won 28-6 in their recent league game against Cigarroa (Laredo, TX)
