The Rocky Ford Meloneers softball squad (Rocky Ford, CO), was routed 11-8 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Gunnison Cowboys (Gunnison, CO)

With the triumph, Gunnison improves its record to 5-7 on the year. The Cowboys travel to Alamosa (Alamosa, CO) to face the Mean Moose in a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 16. The Mean Moose enter the contest with a record of 8-5. Alamosa lost 11-6 in their recent league contest against Southeast Colorado (Wiley, CO)
