Holyoke Purple Knights (Holyoke, MA) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Chicopee Pacers (Chicopee, MA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Purple Knights (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against South Hadley (South Hadley, MA). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, South Hadley lost by Commerce (Springfield, MA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Pacers meet the Taconic Thunder (Pittsfield, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 13. Chicopee will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Thunder come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 3-1 league win over Lee (Lee, MA).
