In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Gahr Gladiators volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors.
The Gladiators (13-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Torrance (Torrance, CA). The Tartars go into the non-league test with a 4-6 record. In their last test, Torrance went down by Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach, CA), 3-0, in a league test.
The Warriors now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Torrance for a non-league test on Friday, September 12.
