In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Murrieta Valley Nighthawks volleyball team scored a 2-0 win over the Glendora Tartans.

With the win, Murrieta Valley advances its record to 10-7 on the season. The Nighthawks travel to Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, CA) to face the Broncos in a Southwestern test on Tuesday, September 16. The Broncos go into the test with a record of 6-6. Vista Murrieta won 3-0 in their recent league test against Great Oak (Temecula, CA)

The Tartans now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ayala for a Palomares outing on Monday, September 15. Glendora will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Bonita (La Verne, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-8.
