In Friday's non-league challenge, the host San Pedro Pirates volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors.
The Pirates (3-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Gahr (Cerritos, CA). The Gladiators enter the non-league challenge with a 10-6 record. In their last challenge, Gahr was defeated by La Serna (Whittier, CA), 3-2, in a non-league test.
The Warriors now own a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gahr for a non-league test on Friday, September 12. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy will play a Gladiators team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Lynwood (Lynwood, CA). The Gladiators record now stands at 11-6.
