Armuchee Indians (Rome, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Gordon Central Warriors (Calhoun, GA), 16-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 5-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bowdon for a A Public Region 6 challenge on Tuesday, September 14. Armuchee will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 8-1 league loss to Trion (Trion, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, Gordon Central falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Pepperell (Lindale, GA) to face the Dragons in a AA Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, September 14. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 6-5. Pepperell won 17-0 in their recent league challenge against Model (Rome, GA)
