The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) and the visiting Artesia Bulldogs (Artesia, NM), saw Hobbs's volleyball squad nip Artesia by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Hobbs upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Eagles host Centennial (Las Cruces, NM) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 15. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 1-0.

The Bulldogs now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Carlsbad for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 20.
