Next, the Huskies face the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 14. Ashe County will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 5-2 league win over East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC).

The Cardinals now have a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they host Elkin for a Northwest 1A challenge on Wednesday, September 14. East Wilkes will face a Buckin' Elks team coming off a 7-0 league win over North Stokes (Danbury, NC). The Buckin' Elks record now stands at 5-3.
