Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting East Bladen Eagles (Elizabethtown, NC), 3-2 in a league challenge.

Next, the Raiders face the Whiteville Wolfpack (Whiteville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 14. Midway will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Wolfpack enter the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 8-1 non-league loss to East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC).

The Eagles now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Clinton for a Southeastern Athletic 2A challenge on Wednesday, September 14. East Bladen will face a Dark Horses team coming off a 4-0 league win over West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC). The Dark Horses record now stands at 7-2.
