Somers Spartans (Somers, CT) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host East Granby Crusaders (East Granby, CT), 6-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Tappan Zee Dutchmen (Orangeburg, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 13. Somers will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record.

The Crusaders now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rockville for a Central Connecticut - North challenge on Friday, September 16. East Granby will confront a Rams team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Ellington (Ellington, CT). The Rams record now stands at 1-1.
