Screven County Gamecocks (Sylvania, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Claxton Tigers (Claxton, GA), 11-1 in a league challenge.

The Gamecocks now own a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Johnson County for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 14. Screven County will face a Trojans squad coming off a 30-0 league win over Wilkinson County (Irwinton, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-9.

With the loss, Claxton falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Tigers host Islands (Savannah, GA) to face the Sharks in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 14. The Sharks enter the challenge with a record of 8-3. Islands lost 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Wayne County (Jesup, GA)
