The First Presbyterian Day Vikings softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Gatewood Gators to 9 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, First Presbyterian Day moves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Vikings travel to Tattnall Square Academy (Macon, GA) to clash with the Trojans in a GIAA 6AAA game on Thursday, September 15. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 13-3. Tattnall Square Academy lost 4-3 in their recent non-league game against Westfield School (Perry, GA)

In their next game, the Gators clash with the Piedmont Academy Cougars (Monticello, GA) in a GIAA 2AA game, on Wednesday, September 14. Gatewood will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 10-2 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Stratford Academy (Macon, GA).
